I got this one pre-owned and super-cheap at Topper but I just saw another mint example show up at Exquisite Timepieces https://www.exquisitetimepieces.com/seiko-prospex-alpinist-1959-design-re-creation-sje085-210000021980.html
I have to say, my Seiko 5 went through some the majority of my most stressful events and took it like a champ ! Seiko is a bit underestimated in my opinion and that's a bit sad to me but that's how they're so cheap too !

That dial is incredible! Also love the mint-tastic color of the seconds hand.

I don’t think I’ve ever met an owner of this watch who ever kept in on the bund.

It really felt like a marketing gimmick more than a functional component of the watch. I get why they did it, but it makes the watch look like part of a costume when on.

I happily wear mine with the bund. It is comfortable and gives the SJE0835 an interesting vibe.
