Saxonia 35mm vs Patek 5196

Looking to add one of these to my collection. They are both amazing watches and fit similarly. I like the seamless small seconds on the patek but like that the lange has a see through caseback. Pictures are not mine.

Definite soft spot for that Saxonia.

At this price and with these so similar, I’m choosing the one with the open case back. I want to see where the money has gone.

The Saxonia was my favorite dress watch for a very long time. I just wish it was a bit bigger (36mm-37mm) and the seconds wheel didn’t have that sunburst effect. I know they have the older model that fixes the size issue but I don’t like the dots on the indices on that model.

I agree 100%, especially when we are talking about a Lange.

Patek. Because, well it's a Patek.

True! Brand recognition is something yo consider. It may be easier to sell in the future if better things come up.

Try both on and the one where you fail to read the time, because you always admire the watch, that is the one..

And if none of them give you that vibe look further.. for that mich money it should something you really like…

I wish I could see them side by side but the 5196 is discontinued and the saxonia 35 is rare.
