It started one Weekender
Hello everyone! I joined the community a couple of weeks ago after finding WatchCrunch on YouTube.
I currently live in the great Midwest, USA. Though I've worn a watch since I was about 10, I didn't become more interested until my mid 20s. A low level love for watches turned into a full passion in 2021 and my casual interest has become an "ardent absorption" as the definition of enthusiast so perfectly states it. I LOVE learning more about watches and slowly adding to my own affordable collection.
I have been learning about making videos lately and combined that with my enthusiasm for watches in the linked video where I share my entire watch journey. It's probably pretty typical of an affordable watch geek and I'd love to hear if any of you had similar paths!
Right now I'm very interested in microbrands as I really love variety and pieces with their own personality. I love a hefty watch and my favorites are usually chunky divers. I've got about 15 watches in my collection right now, all on the affordable end of the scale (Less than $1000).
My only problem right now is that I have a ton of watches on my "to buy next" list and I get impatient saving my spending money to get them 🤣

Nice eye for details! The lapdog and I watch as many games as we can every weekend so we see plenty of Eagles games. But this house is a Steelers/Bills house first, general football fan second. I think I've become more of a general fan of the game thanks for fantasy leagues giving me a reason to watch games that are not my team.
