My dad's watch

Long time lurker, 1st time post.

I found my dad's watch recently.

It is mechanical and I have no idea what company and model it is.

It says Carmule Daytona but Google search yielded nothing.

I don't like metal bracelets and I want to get leather straps for it but color black and brown straps I already have look horrible with it.

Any color recommendations for the straps?

A little looking and it seems Carmule was a short lived  Pagani Design/Steinhart/etc type of homage manufacture. They seem to get right up to the line in terms of logo etc as evident by the Tag inspired watch below.

That said, being it was your dad’s watch, where it got it’s influence, originality, etc take a back seat to family heritage. For me, I’d keep it simple and get a black leather rally strap to keep with the racing heritage of the Daytona. Something like this with different hardware.

Otherwise, you can never go wrong with a black rubber strap.

I would strongly recommend opening the case back to see what movement is inside. If this is a Zenith el primero or Rolex movement, you may have something really special in your hands and not just in terms of sentimental value. :) thanks for sharing.
