Unexpected Island Honeymoon

I wasn’t expecting a honeymoon with this watch at all. I figured I’d wear it for a day or two, then put it in the box with all the others to enter the rotation now and then. But for some reason, even after a full week on the wrist, I don’t want to put it away. Maybe it’s just because it’s so different from the others? It also helps that it’s been running under +2 spd on wrist out of the box. It remains interesting to look at every time, as the colors constantly change with different lighting and times of day. There’s nothing missing or annoying to me about this dial. I’m just amazed at how much this watch has unexpectedly exceeded my expectations.

If Marc brought out a version with a sapphire display caseback, would that be a sapphire a-baloney sandwich?

It shares a lot of design language with some various Seiko watches, but what a gorgeous dial! Tasty indeed lol

Yeah, it's definitely a Seiko Monster homage all the way. Now I'm suddenly finding myself considering one of the "Save the Ocean" Seiko Prospex models.
