Indispensability
Is there anything you use your watch for that make it indispensable? Or at least make your life much easier? When i get my children ready for school and daycare in the mornings (i have 4 kids) my watch has become a virtually indispensable tool for me. We have clocks in the kitchen and my phone is usually in the vicinity but i have come to rely so much on my watch just to keep us on track. The few days here or there i don't immediately put it on i always end up running behind and have to rush to have everyone out of the house on time.
Timekeeping is ubiquitous now with all of our devices and appliances but the convenience of having it available at a glance cannot be understated... especially with 4 young kids.
Anyone else have an instance where you're watch is crucial?
I am a dad to 4 kids, love watches, music (especially metal), writing, philosophy, politics, and reading
Yup count me in. Just like you timing especially in the morning is important to me. However my reason is purely monetary.. you see where I live we have gantries strategically positioned to control traffic flow to certain parts of the city. They deduct digital money from each vehicle that passes through according to the published rates/times e.g. 8:00-8:30am at $3 and 8:31-9:00am at $6. I sync all my watches to follow the gantries time 😣
When i am cooking, when i need a a watch with a second hand to use in my medication

Mannn.. i envy you. I have to travel out country to enjoy the outdoors to really make use of a compass!

Would probably use it more in a strange city to get my bearings! But I feel your pain, Nazrain, as you’re in one heck of a big city!
I’ll drive 500K out of my way to avoid an unfamiliar city. 😂🤣😂
I'm currently writing exams, so a wristwatch makes checking the time far quicker and more legible than looking up at the wall clock in the examination hall.
All 29 of my watches are crucial. I need them to make me happy. Hahaha
My daughter moved out with my G-Shock GW-M5610 and texted me the other day about how indispensable it is - she is a PE teacher and uses it to stay on-time as well as to time the kids for different events - she even uses the alarm(s) to know when to start "herding the cats" at the end of class (apparently, with the various activities, she can't take her phone?).
I now find my G-Shock MTG-M900 indispensable for setting my other watches now that my daughter took my other atomic-solar watch 😂 ... and for keeping track of what time it is in her time zone since I miss her 😢.
Cooking, use the dive bezel a lot for this.
