My first “proper” watch was a Timex Weekender, 36mm, ticking real loud, but still here with me after 7ish years

Take it slow, don’t be tempted to splurge on several watches at once

Mido, I think the sweet spot: a swiss brand tethered with all the heritage, with the price point close to japanese watch
