I only have the skx, a Slava Buran and a Casio a168 there, but yes probably looking for a few higher end pieces (though still somewhat budget friendly, like the pieces I already have there). And yes I think the 38mm royal is totally underrated, especially for the price you can get it for secondhand!
I have a Slava Buran in my "cheaper" collection I got gifted from my girlfriend, waiting for a nice leather strap for it, hope it can fill that role even though it's not super dressy. Considering putting my Oysterdate on an aftermarket jubilee and use that as my primary dress watch (also preserving the original oyster bracelet which is the 78350 with solid screw links - though I'm an advocate for using your watches instead of preserving them) - at least could look nice on occasions, and the drilled lugs make for easy switching.
I have an SKX013 in my "cheaper" collection i started using as a true beater, on a paratrooper strap. I do think a Chrono and a GMT would be nice, especially for variety and some complications in the collection, though I can't see myself using their functionality much (my quartz Aqua Terra have a jump hour setting which I've used the one time I travelled to another time zone ๐ )
