Got my Stowa Antea KS, first manual winding watch

I have been into bauhaus design style dial recently, and decided to pick up this Stowa Antea KS. I looked into Nomos as well, but Stowa is less expensvie and has more numbers on the dial ๐Ÿ˜‰

Working with a manual winding watch is lots of fun, also makes the watch much thinner. But the non-hacking movement is driving me a bit crazy.

Look at the finishing on movement though. Wow. Nice pickup.

Beautiful movement. I am a sucker for blued screws.

Love Stowa watches, would love to own one too, there's some real cred in their name. Sadly I've started the long haul saving for a Dornbluth 99.1 so there'll be no Stowa's for me for the next 5 years at least!

Great design. I also enjoy the minimalist dials.

Nice one, I went for the #nomos over a year ago, but they're both great! However,I think the original design actually came from Stowa back on the 1930s.

I do think that non-hacking on small seconds is not such a big issue, since you won't be really timing anything with that minimalist subdial anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have a #stowa Partitio and can only say that the finishing is really great, especially for the money ๐Ÿ’ธ really appreciate the brand!

You may be able to retard the seconds by winding backward. I'm not sure it's the greatest thing to do all that frequently, but it is a trick that can be done. I've come to see non-hacking seconds as a blessing that save a minute or two when setting a stopped watch.
