King Seiko 1969

After more then a month with it I have to say I’m impressed how the watch is operating being 55 years old.

Also pretty surprised how good a 36,5 mm watch wears on a 7,30 inch wrist!

I own the same model and it always feels right on the wrist. A perfect example of Tanaka's "Grammar of Design".

I do love these - the lines and the dimensions.

Have hesitated to date mainly due to the “open through glass” and what that seems to add to servicing costs.

Not a big deal if it’s recently serviced and you’re lucky enough that it doesn’t need one for a while.

But certainly I admire this regular and struggle to keep my distance.

Enjoy!

Give in :)

I will eventually but I am holding out for a 45 or a 56 with a removable caseback so I can get one of these casebacks

I already have the 62 (with the display caseback) and the quality, accuracy, etc. is stunning.
