Traska Freediver v4: What are your thoughts?

Is anyone eyeing on / considering to buy the new Traska Freediver v4, which will be released tomorrow? Those look very attractive to me, but I don’t see many people talking about them. What are your thoughts on them?

I'm not in the market but they do really interest me - particularly the venturer and commuter.

They look like 50 other microbrand catalogue watches to me. Devoid of charisma.

I've been intrigued by Traska. They seem like solid watches and I like that they use a hardening coating on their watches. That being said, similar to what @jason_recliner said, they are a bit vanilla. For a smaller collection, or if you are looking for a no-fuss daily diver to wear, I think these would be a great option (it's a very competitive market in the sub-$1k diver segment, though). For me, I am looking for something a bit more interesting or off beat to compliment my collection and not really looking for a daily-driver so to speak.

I have two Summiteers, v2 and v3. On the wrist they gain some character and there are two things to consider. 1: Great customer care and 2: bracelets are very comfortable. Of course, the hardening coating and movement and so on, are great for sure.

What!? Haha well, I guess they marketed it really well. It's not even been two hours since they released it.

The hardened bracelet is really nice. teddy baldassare had a nice video on YouTube showcasing the scratch resistance between it and a Rolex bracelet. The only thing that was maybe less ideal is the rotor sound when self winding. Sounds a bit cheap compared to how the rest of the watch looks and feels

Agreed. That's just how Miyota 9000 series works. My Timex Giorgio Galli S1 does the same thing, but can't complain because I love the rest of the watch.

I am also interested in getting a Freediver in white. They are going to be available starting tomorrow morning.
