Hello, my name is deathonthestairs, and I have a problem…

I’m obsessed with Neo vintage citizen promasters. I’ve been singing the praises of them on this site for a while but I just got another in the mail today. Late 80s Yacht timer. I don’t know what it is I love about these watches. Maybe it’s the true professionalism that they are meant for. So now I have the diving, air, yachting, and windsurfing. The ultimate goal is the citizen aerochron, the skydiving/balloonist watch.

What do you mean by "true professionalism"?

I always find the Citizen Pro-Masters visually appealing.

They were made with a purpose. Each watch served a very specific niche. The functions for each watch were meant to time races, time dives, time skydives.

So...made for serious work, not just to look pretty. Right?

I would agree.

The 3rd is my newest. And bc of that it’s my new favorite haha.

Hi, deathonthestairs. 🤓

·

I love how all of these have a unique look, and as you mentioned, a unique purpose.

I like the middle two the best, which is weird cuz I don't usually like gold on my watches.

They actually have the same base movement. The yachting is a C050 and the wingman pilot is a C080.
