Need help finding a versatile white dial watch!

Hey everyone! I’m searching for a white dial watch that is versatile (tows the line between sporty and semi dressy) and looks good on both straps and bracelets. Strap monsters are a plus! I’m ok with both microbrands and major brands. New or discontinued and pre owned is ok too as long as I can buy it somewhere.

My only requirements are really:

  • Under $2500 (less is even better)

  • Between 37-39mm (I have slim wrists and 38mm is my sweet spot)

  • quartz is ok too. I own a lot of autos and it might be nice to have a watch I can just throw on without having to set or wind.

I’m fairly new to the watch hobby, so there’s probably some gems out there that I don’t know about. So let’s see what you recommend? I’ve attached some pics of watches I’ve been considering but not sold on anything just yet. Thanks!

I suggest Formex 39 Essence, it is chronometer, GADA watch (I think). I have Monta Atlas GMT, It is beautiful but not accurate.

I’ve not had a formex but they have good reputation. The fears looks really good and has great story and I’d like to get one one day. But I’ve owned an aqua tera and as a do it all watch it’s simply one of the best. I’ve over the last few years come to appreciate good quality quartz watches such as a sinn ux seiko tuna marinemaster 1000m and now a grand seiko gmt quartz and that omega movement will be great too. Enjoy what ever you get you have great shortlist there (I’d get the fears or the omega😂)

Interesting….How bad is the accuracy?

Appreciate the feedback. It’s a tough choice because I feel like bang for buck lies with the formex or monta due to features/finishing. Omega is tried and true. Fears is unique but also the most expensive.

I think looking at your list you’ve thought it through well enough that what ever way you go you will enjoy it all good options 👍

You’re probably right, I also just wanted to see if there’s some other watches I might have overlooked or that I just don’t know about.

Monta GMT Atlas, was -2 seconds a day for a month, then I put it in the box for 1 month. Today it is running -13 seconds a day. I have watch tools, I like to regulate my watch. It seem that Monta is using watch case back like Panerai. So I have to buy the new tool. My Formex is running -2 to -4 a day.

I ended up pulling the trigger on a white dial Traska Commuter. It has those Rolex OP vibes but won’t get scratched up thanks to the steel hardening they apply on their watches. And costs 1/20th the price. This will probably be my new beater all day wear watch. What do you all think?

I'm in the same boat as you and one of the watches which has been on my radar for a while is the Grand Seiko SBGX259/295! It's a 9F quartz which is incredibly reliable from what I've read and looks absolutely gorgeous as a GADA watch. Definitely one on my wishlist!
