I was trying to think of what would be the perfect watch for me, especially legibility-wise. I wrote down large numerals, labeled 5 minute intervals, date AND day, black dial, 39mm diameter or larger, etc.
I realised that I basically wanted a field watch and started looking at Hamilton, since I already have a Citizen Chandler and it's TINY on my 7.5" wrist. The regular Khaki didn't exactly check all the boxes, but then I discovered the King! Checks ALL the boxes, and more!
And because the last automatic field watch I had kind of committed suicide accuracy-wise from how much abuse it got cycling and getting banged up against things, (-7 minutes per day now...) I really wished that they made a quartz version.
Turns out, they used to, but it's discontinued! Found this on eBay from a Japanese seller and it went straight into my cart. Waiting on some more 20mm NATOs to come in, since almost all of mine are either 18 or 22mm...

I believe on Amazon. It's kind of cheap quality, and a little short, but it works! I saw tons of reviews on the listing of people just wearing it as a bracelet. 😂 I guess not realizing that it's a watch strap!
