So I got my Nivada Quartz Skindiver with Ref No. 87171. I really hope someone can help me identify this model ๐. I removed the leather strap that came with this and placed it on this very thin nato. The lug space wad extremely tight to slip in a nato strap normally so I had to place the nato first then place the springbars over it. The lume still works okay too!
Only issues I have with this is that I think the dial is crooked and the replacement crown doesnโt seem to be original. It has an anchor on the crown so maybe it was from a Rado?
Also, stated lug width by seller was 20mm and the strap on it was a 20mm leather strap however I couldnโt fit my standard 20mm springbars. ๐ฅฒ I just used the springbars that came with the strap. Is it possible that itโs actually an 18/19mm lug width?
Cheers!

I think that 87171 probably is the reference number. Nivada didn't tend to use serial numbers. This would probably have been one of the last models they made before going under due to the Quartz Crisis. 19 mm used to be a popular lug width back in the 60s & 70s so that's quite likely

Thank you! Yes it looks like its a late 70โs-80โs model. I ordered 18mm didnโt realize it could be 19. Iโm hoping it fits ๐ฌ. From the nivada grenchen group they said its a possibile later version of a Taravana.
Thank looks lovely!
