Japanese Microbrand Naval Watch Co. Military Diver

This purchase was the quickest impulse buy I’ve had so far in the past 1-2 years Ive been in the hobby. But I’m quite happy with it as its quite a looker. Looks the biz even with 50M WR 😁😁😁. Quite a fun purchase and no buyers remorse here.

Ive been hunting for an Omega 2254 Peter Blake for the longest time but they are practically inexistent in my home country. No availability for the Helson Shark Diver, and the other Seamaster 300 166024 ref homages.

Then the Naval Watch Co watch topic popped up here (Thanks @degenerateWA 🤣) and I went to take a look at their watches. It was cool that they were a Japanese microbrand and when I saw this military diver on their site I just blanked out clicked add to cart and it arrived here a few days later 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

The biggest takeaway from this watch purchase is that this watch only has 5ATM(50m) of WR. 🥲🥲🥲 Its a push crown and not a screw down.

HOWEVER, the rest of the watch is pretty cool. Its Made in Japan so its not your typical AliX watch. A very nice distortion from the sapphire dome crystal, proportions are quite nice even for my 8.5” wrist, the stock nato strap is quite lengthy and allows me to fold the end in. The build quality is quite good FOR the price. Bezel action is very smooth and tinny, with some back play, lume is quite good, and the print on the dial is very nice.

The package overall is great. I paid a little over USD200 for this. Between this Made in Japan micro vs your usual Alix favorites, this is quite a welcome change.
