Christopher Ward C63 Sealander 39mm White

Hi all, looking for opinions and thoughts if you've owned this watch. I've been looking for a white dial watch for some time and previously bought the C60 trident 300 42mm but wasn't impressed so sent it back. I was actually looking at the C63 gmt version but as I've recently acquired a Sinn 105 utc I don't need the gmt function. Any thoughts on other white dial watches in this price range I should consider?

Cheers Chris

What about the C60 didn't appeal to you?

I have a few CWs, and love my C63.

I'm not a bracelet fan, particularly when it comes to white dial watches. I think the bracelet washes out the dial due to a lack of contrast.

I also have the 39mm Sealander and have been quite happy. Only thing I regret is not getting the 36mm version.

I think I hyped myself up so much about the C60 from pictures and reviews that when it arrived I was really disappointed. I think 42mm looked to big on me although strangelyI have other 42mm watches and seeing it in the flesh I didn't like the black bezel insert with it and it just felt cheaper than I expected.

Much cheaper than your budget and a little outside the box but how about this

Hype can be a dangerous thing.

I'm not a huge fan of the C60 300 myself. They made the bezel narrow, which makes the dial larger/seem larger. I wish they'd stuck to the Mk 3 bezel with the slimmer case.

That's what's great about this forum, I've never seen or heard about that watch but it looks interesting. Thanks for the suggestion.

Chris I bought the CW C60 Atoll 300 in the Shark White dial & I absolutely love it. The dial really is a gorgeous creamy white & the Yachtmaster style bezel really works too.

Read it was 41.4mm and blue indices and hands is that correct? What size wrist have you as it fits really well

Case is 41mm but the top surface of the bezel is 39mm so it looks smaller than the 41 suggests, lug to lug is 49mm. The indices are blue but it's not very noticeable (the blue ring around the crystal is more noticeable) My wrist is 7.25 inches

This is a 41mm CW Dartmouth on my wrist for comparison

Same wrist size as me. I love my 41mm Sinns but that casio size looks spot on

Have you look into Seiko Shar Edge series? It has a cool dial. Or what about a Tissot Gentleman?

·

I looked at all the different colour t200 for so long but the non colour matched date wheel put me off, then I found this. The sunburst grey dial on a leather strap looks great too but they all look good.

I know it's wrong but I just can't bring myself to spend that amount on a Seiko although it is a nice dial. The Tissot looks more silver.

That white dial definitely looks good and is now on my short list plus I don't have a solar anymore.

I like bracelets but now you've said it the more I look at the C63 I prefer it on a coloured strap 👍

I'm a big fan of straps that contrast with the dial, rather than match.
