This old Turtle encapsulates nearly everything I love about old tool divers (history, patina, utility and wrist presence).  Picked it up a couple year...

Damn, even in winter that place is gorgeous!  Awesome Rodania too, nice one!

Here's a quick and crappy iPhone snap of last night's sunset around here.  Summer will be ending here soon unfortunately.

I'd like to say I've no regrets in life but I gotta admit YES!

It was nothing to pick up Rolex GMT 1675s and 5513s for under $2500 back then (on original bracelets).  Friend of mine had a Paul Newman that he used to brag was work almost 10K (LOL).  Ah... life before the internet took over.  I mean there was Timezone.com, but that was about it.

Anyway, although prices have increased the knowledge has too which is a good thing.

Cheers and happy hunting!

Here's my H558 and my (former) Safarnie side by side.

The new one just isn't as wearable.  Too big, and too heavy on my (7.5") wrist.

I hope you find one.  The market prices seem to have gone down a bit on them which is a good trend for buyers.

BTW, I tried a "Safarnie" but just could bond with it.  It's nothing like the original.
