Yeah you nailed it! I was considering selling it because I wasn't sure I liked the look.
But in the marine environment, it's right at home and really shines. I also just discovered an old episode of Jacques Cousteau where his son Philippe is wearing the identical watch on the bracelet with US Diver's logo on the dial, etc.
Yeah, everything in life is a tradeoff.
It's just hard to swallow some of the vintage prices lately....
