Lost AliExpress Anniversary Orders

Well, it's been more than 30 days and the majority of my AliExpress orders from their Anniversary Sale has not arrived. Out of the five watches that I ordered, I only received one of them.

So now, I find myself in the process of invoking their gurantees and requesting a full refund. I'm hoping the process goes well but I somehow expect some shennanigans.

I can only imagine my cheap watches have been pilfered by ocean pirates or rejected by snobby customs agents or lost at sea in a shipping container that fell overboard.

Sorry to hear that my dude.

In all reality they could be sitting in the port somewhere, waiting to be off loaded. Post-Covid Manning issues are still hanging around most port authorities sadly.

Damn bro you got me TWISTED!!! 🤣😂

Are you sure your deliveries are via sea shipping freight? Normally, to North America and I got be believe to Florida it's shipped via air. All of my AliExpress deliveries to Vancouver BC Canada are via air. Over 30 days isn't uncommon especially with the Chinese New Year and more so the Year of the Dragon. Or maybe those damn power tripping customs agents rejected them 😤 If the refund feature is available or refund date comes around. Call your bank and submit a claim to reverse the charges. That's easier than trying to get your monies back from AliExpress escrow. Good luck man 🤙🏽

Most of my Ali orders usually show up in 11-15 days. My other orders made it here on time. It was just my watches. One stopped tracking after it left China and has been 20 days in the air. Another left US customs but never made in to the post office. The other two never left China and were returned to their shipping factory for some reason. When they didn't arrive after 15 days, I knew something was wrong.

They better refund my money regardless if they arrive. The "Choice" items have a 30 day delivery guarantee or your money back. Well... supposedly. I guess we will find out.

I get the feeling it's under the Baltimore Francis Scott Bridge that collapsed recently.

WHAT?!?! That sounds like an episode from Seinfeld 😧 Bro call your bank and get the charges reversed that would be my best advice.

Maybe because of all the war trouble they're going the long way round. 🧐🤞🏻

36 Days 🥲

Yeah. If they were "Choice" items when you ordered them, then you should file a claim on their 30 day delivery guarantee. Take a screen cap of the tracking page and order details. You'll need to send those in to make a claim. They won't issue you a refund unless you claim it (At least that's what their customer rep told me).

Regardless of the route they took, they guaranteed 30 day maximum delivery and it's past that period.

I understand, but they couldn't have predicted a full on war!

Frustrating, I know but it's only (!) watches..https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/01/1145902

Then perhaps AliExpress needs to shut down. If they're just taking people's money and not delivering then that's just outright theft. They should also remove the gurantees on their website so that they're not lying to their customers and committing fraud.

Also, attacks against shipping in the Red Sea by Houthis is not something new. This has been happening for several years and well before the current Ali Anniversary sale. If a business chose that route to deliver their goods, they would need to be prepared to accept the risks involved. Plus, most of these companies have insurance on their goods.

In the end, it is the customer's responsibility to get their money back by following the refund policies set by AliExpress.

It's not only(!) watches. It's the 300 hours I worked to earn that money to pay for the goods. I intend to get my good or my money back. One way or another.

Absolutely, I'm not defending them I'm trying to see the reason why your watch hasn't arrived.

It's shite I know, & I sincerely wish you luck in getting your hard earned money back.

"Only watches" because they are trivial compared to people getting killed, it wasn't meant as an insult to you or the hobby & I apologise if it came across that way.

How did it go?

How did it go?

AliExpress refunded my money but I had to document and pester them to process it.

Items were refunded one by one and took a while to be "approved".

It was about three weeks after I started the refund before I got my money back but I did get it all back.
