At this price point, quality and value are going to be somewhat subjective. I doubt anyone will say that either of these is a bad watch.
As to which I prefer? That's pretty much irrelevant, because I don't have to live with the watch; you do.
Go with the one that speaks to your heart; I doubt you'll regret it, whichever you choose.

Fair points! I’ll have to see them in person but right now the Omega speaks to me more. Not many people will have one, it looks unique without being over the top and I find the JLC slightly boring in comparison.
I picked the JLC, mostly because if I want a watch that style, I want it to be a bit understated.
I also have a soft spot for brands that are under the radar to muggles.

100%, and I love that particular Omega. If you asked the same question three days from now my answer might have been reversed. Both are beautiful watches that exude class.

The Omega dial seems unnecessarily busy. Unfortunately both seem to have display case backs or I choose the one that did not.

They both have display backs. For a dress watch, that’s a must for me. I want to see the movement finishing. A lot of times, that’s where the extra money goes.
