Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I always like watches as a kid. My parents bought me a cheap small kids watch, which I still have today. At the time it was cool if it had my favorite super hero or comic-character on the dial. Or full lume dial etc. I had a Nike digital sportswatch for most part of my childhood though. In 2015 I got my first mechanical watch, and after that I had a some smartwatches. Now I'm getting back into collecting watches.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Uknown model from a brand that called themselves "HiTech". I got it when I was 6 years old.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Collect what you think look nice. Specs are easy to get into but in the end, a high specced watch that looks horrible will still look horrible. Casio Oceanus line of watches is a very nice starting point.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Chistopher Ward, Phoibos, Zelos, and Boldr.
