Double watch purchase weekend 😁
So the long weekend we just had in the UK has resulted in a double watch purchase (that’s the reason honest!)
Been on the hunt for a diver for a while now and can’t afford my grail fifty fathoms unless my lottery numbers come in! Having owned and now sold a Moonswatch I’m not falling into that trap again with the swatch collaboration either, even though it seems a better effort.
None of the many more modern styled divers around do it for me, so the Héron Marinor has been on the top of the list for a good few weeks as it has a similar look without being a full on homage and I love the dial design especially the North Star at 12 oclock. The specs I think are also great for the money and having seen one in the flesh I knew it was a safe bet. It’s on preorder so hopefully will arrive next month and I can’t wait, might even have a crack at a review on it.
The second watch was more of an impulse buy as I’ve never really been drawn to any aliexpress brands, even though San Martin’s quality is hard to argue with and their more recent ‘original’ efforts have been tempting. Baltany on the other hand have always been on my radar as I like their vintage inspired designs and they review very well. So with the recent sale and extra spare time on my hands I was having a browse and managed to pick up this Chronograph for £120 delivered with all taxes and shipping covered after various discount codes so couldn’t help myself. Be interesting to see how it measures up once it arrives next week.
Anyone else finally commit to a watch they have been eyeing up for awhile or had a cheeky impulse purchase this weekend? Or maybe like me you did both 😂

Slightly off the beaten track - Tutima Grand Flieger Airport in blue. Will fit my collection nicely though.

Exactly why I went for it, well that and the many glowing reviews. Its was a close one between this and the type B version but that looked a little too busy to my eyes 👍🏻
