10 years New Years

My wife and I were married ten years ago in Scotland, on New Years Eve. It was an absolutely wonderful time and a full-day affair, from the morning vows to midnight's New Year, and for us, the start of a new life to spend together.

For our wedding, I wore a Movado Sportivo Museum Diamond. I wasn't a collector back then and knew next to nothing about watches, but the name "Movado" and the "Swiss Made" on the dial meant something to me. I felt privileged to own such a thing. I don't wear this watch anymore, but it remains special to me, of course, for what it represents - change, fulfillment and promise for a new and better tomorrow. It's funny how the trinkets that we adorn ourselves with can be so powerful to us, isn't it?

Happy New Years, everyone. I hope that 2024 brings you all good health, happiness and growth. Be kind to one another, and remember that the things that connect us far, far outweigh the things that divide us, even if it doesn't always seem that way. We are stronger together, in life as well as in marriage.
