Hi, I'm from the east coast of County Durham in north east England, my interests include cycling, guitar building and rock music. I've had a wrist watch obsession since early childhood.
I've always regarded watches as the most special thing I could wear, thereby making me feel great when I wear one. Even as a small child I remember rounding up all the watches, putting them in a little box and hiding them like treasure, just for me to look at. So when I was old enough to have my own money I could never walk past a jewellery shop window without stopping to look and turning to the watch section of the argos catalogue first. So I started buying what took my fancy ........
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A small timex
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like, no matter what anyone else thinks, whatever makes you feel good
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Affordable Chinese brands, such as steeldive, addiesdive, watchdives, San martin, baltany, pagani and similar, also seiko, casio and others
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I've already owned my grail watch, alas I sold it- 1992 Tudor submariner 79090, mine was the blue one and it was mint even though I wore it as my daily for years. It was the most beautiful colour, a stylish tool watch, and it was the one for me
