Zodiac Binge!

So if you've been watching my profile for a little bit, you'll see I just bought a Olympos at a pawn shop for an absolute steal. The dress watch with the teal seconds hand and date window. I absolutely fell in love and it was my 1st experience with the brand.

After wearing a dress watch for about 2 weeks, I knew there was something about these watches I really liked. From the lugs, to the slim fit and finish, and the color scheme, I was sold. So I started looking more into the brand.

Only to find they made a field version with all arabic numerals and the classic design I've come to love, as most of my watches center around this aesthetic. I saw the grey ones, and the green ones, and I liked them both (green over the gray though), then I came upon the elusive worn and wound brown edition. And I knew at some point, I was going to get this watch..

I just didn't know it'd be 4 hours later, I made an eBay filter and notification, and bam one pops up lol. So the person posted it for $700, with 2 additional straps, not bad. Me being me... I sent over a $375 offer, idk just in the off chance.. And all of 20 minutes later I get a confirmation, it was accepted!

With tax it just broke $400! And I couldn't be any happier with it. Now that was about 3 weeks ago. And I'm happy to report, it's still an amazing watch, and I've only gotten more and more smitten by the brand.. Didn't help I met with Mike Pearson over last weekend through my RedBar group, and I'll be hanging with him at Wind Up in Chicago on Saturday. But I've learned so much about the brand, it's history, the owners, the watches, and what's coming down the line. Oh just you wait.. The August release is going to knock your socks off, I hope. I loved it, and the new ceramic watches feel amazing. Just gorgeous.

But if you haven't dived into the Zodiac brand, I highly suggest it!

Man, that's a very nice piece right there. Now you've got me looking at all their offerings and setting eBay alerts too!

The green dial Olympos field is on my shortlist for my inevitable green watch. I really like them. Would also like a '53 Seawolf Skin with steel bezel.

I won't lie getting to handle their entire catalog and try everything on, helped. Plus Mike is a great guy, which helps the brand's presence. I think they're coming back strong in the 20's

I wouldn't mind the green either, it's beautiful. I hope they reissue the Astron at some point, and make it a bit more modern.

Bought my first Zodiac in 1976. Had it restored a couple years ago and it's like new with a dial and bezel replaced with OEM parts. Currently own 4 Zodiacs, Great watches.

Fantastic deal you got.

I have been looking at them but felt out of my budget at the moment, amazing you made such a low offer and it got accepted! Congratulations and enjoy the choice of colours you now have!
