It's SS, but it's bead blasted and has a hardness coating on it. It's a "Laco 21" which is just a Miyota 82S0 movement, that they regulate in house and decorate. The upgraded Laco 31 is just brought down to 3hz, for an 80-hour power reserve, with blue screws.
