My favorite story was the Zenith watchmaker hiding the machinery required to make mechanical watches after being ordered to destroy all of it.

I like the story of the iwc mark xvi pg 79 when the author was visited by his grandfather and they bought a watch together and also the Casio/iwc story on pg 161. This story talks about the authors family supporting his passion despite circumstances not being easy. Both stories emphasise the meaning behind the watch. Lovely

I received the same book from my mom for my most recent birthday. It’s a fantastic coffee table book. I have mine in my office at work to keep it away from my toddler.
