Retirement watch

My wife wanted to do some travelling when we retired. So I had decided on a Travellers GMT or Worldtime watch. I have the Casio AE1200 as a stop gap watch. I was originally trying to save for a Frederique Constant Highlife Worldtimer, but found a Junghans AD in my area a few weeks ago. I had tried on, and really liked, the Junghans Meister Worldtimer. So today, I went down and put in a down payment and ordered a blue dial Junghans Meister Worldtimer and got them to include the steel bracelet (they did it for free!). I was thinking the brown strap on the blue dial looked really nice too. It should arrive in about a month. Watch brands I had seriously looked into include (by budget size): Hamilton, Mido, Longines, Tutor, Frederique Constant, Tutima, Oris, Omega, Grand Seiko.

One of my favorite brands, great choice 👍

All retirement watches should be a blank dial. No hands, no date, maybe just a moon phase?

I love the fit of Junghans on my wrist, i have a Max Bill and a Form Automatic and would buy them again

Man, I really love Meister Worldtimer. White/gold one will be my next purchase on 2025. Everything plays for me including price. I was considering blue one as well, but I will likely get Sinn 6068B in blue as well, so will go with gold Junghans. Imo - you make a very good choice and cannot wait for NWA and first wrist shots!

Great choice! And good taste, the FC Worldtimer is amazing, as is the Junghans. Awesome watches to have honed in on IMO. Enjoy the new watch (when it comes in) and future travels!
