I was lucky enough to get the SJE093 on release and love it so far. I was a bit skeptical at first given the reactions of the Seiko community about the price, movement and overall value but ultimately think it’s worth it if you are a fan of the 62MAS.
Pros:
Great versatile size and thickness. I had the spb149 previously and while I loved it , I sometimes felt it was too head heavy and thick on my wrist
Movement seems pretty good so far. Getting +1- 5seconds per day as far as I can tell
Crystal and finishing are top notch. Not grand seiko level but close
Bezel looks amazing and has great action it’s like your typical Seiko bezel but better in every way
Lume. This watch has the brightest lume I’ve ever seen.
Cons:
I feel the lume is a bit too yellow for my taste especially when worn indoors
Rubber strap it came with is terrible. Too thick, too long and just uncomfortable. I ended up putting it on a Barton elite silicon and it’s been great

Awesome watch!
Obviously I’m beating a dead horse here, but for that much shouldn’t the strap be really good? Or at least kinda good?
Nice I was too late to the party 🥳 I was after slimming my spb down aswell 🤣congratulations ill be hunting
Nice watch. The only thing that put me off is the 19mm lug wide. Finding a good 19mm rubber strap that fits the Seiko spring bars is difficult. I hope Seiko will release a 39.5mm ( with the same thickness) one with 20mm lugs.
Great watch! Congrats! Looking forward for the full review

I've honestly never liked any rubber strap until I've tried this Barton one which is super comfortable so I might be a bit biased, but IMO the Seiko strap is designed for actual diving and not everyday wear, a bit disappointing but I was expecting to wear the watch on a canvas or nato when I bought it

Yeah I had to squeeze the fat bars into a 20mm rubber strap for a good fit. Luckily I have some other 19mm Natos since my Grand Seiko also has the annoying 19mms 😂
What a nice watch.. wish i can afford it one day.. 🤭
Beatiful

Looks awesome!!
I got mine not too long ago but just had the time to "prep" it for duty. On my watchwinder I am getting +2 SPD, to say Seiko over delivers would be an understatment.
