New watch: Traska Summiteer 36mm

I love everything about the idea of this watch. Classic design, moderate size, good movement, good crystal, decent dial, high visibility indexes, and that scratch resistant coating.

I was a little concerned about reports of misalignment of indices, and truth be told, my 12 index is slightly misaligned. However, you have to zoom up close and really look for it, so far I don't notice it in daily wear. You can't even see it in this photo.

The watch itself is super comfortable, the bracelet was easy to size with threaded screws, it has drilled lugs, and I think it will look great either on the bracelet or a brown leather strap. Because the watch and bracelet are well balanced, you can wear the bracelet a little looser and the watch stays put, which probably helps with comfort. Sometimes my divers on a bracelet have to be cinched tight to keep the watch face from moving too much.

The watch face is classy and well detailed, but is definitely on the more conservative side. However I'm glad that this watch has good contrast between hands and dial, and good visibility at off angles for my tired old eyes.

I know I'm in the Goldilocks phase, but so far I'm happy.

Traska is more and more on my radar… like everything they do. That’s one good looking watch you’ve got there!
