least practical watch for the left handed? maybe Citizen JP2000-08E?

I am left handed ... I have a strong preference to NOT have a watch on my dominate wrist, as such I generally (always) wear my watch on my right wrist.      My wife gave me this Citizen JP2000-08E as a gift, which was very kewl and nice of her... and I am 100% sure she didn't even think about the left handed issue when buying it?

But regardless this watch is a challenge.. it is not very great to have the sensor digging into my right wrist but it is a big and "very" noticeable / obtrusive watch on the left.

Curious if other left handed people have watches that cause "challenges" and /or if you choose to wear your watch on the right as is my personal preference.

I honestly do not like the rubber strap this watch came with it is very bulky / stiff.. I need to find something else.. I would buy the bracelet for the new releases (blue one or whatever?) but I am not sure how much I will actually wear this watch as either wrist is challenging in it's own way so far..  clearly the watch was meant to be worn on the left (as most are) but that is somewhat annoying for myself as a lefthander..

Oh well I guess this is what happens when you are a minority of ~11% (most believable stat I could find) of the total population globally and have been for millennia apparently ... The reading I have done has suggested that left handers just sort of stay about 10~11% numbers neither increasing or decreasing significantly over the centuries.. interesting?

I think., really, you gotta address the root issue - all these problems were caused by your wife!  You gotta go to her and say...

Marriage really is all about communication.

"Hey babe, I really like <insert watch>. "

"Hey babe, this watch looks cool, but I'm not sure it's one I could wear."

Until she bloody well gets the message... ;)

I think I will do that.... but not really because I wanna live...  I saw one of these and said I kinda liked it.. without thinking about the ergonomics for my own left handed needs... my wife remembered and bought me one for my birthday...      funny idea... but yeah nah.. not going to do that.

Every watch is a compromise in some way or another, and people are different shapes, sizes and use cases. That's why its so important to get one in hand before you buy. Even then, it might feel ok in the shop, but after a few hours wear, some comfort issues might start to arise. That's the risk you take when buying a watch.  I've found this with some of my watches, and replacement straps work wonders in getting a better fit. Go for it.

On a slightly different emphasis... The Tudor Pelagos LHD has been bought by a lot of right-handed people because the crown lies away from the wrist. I can see a lot of right-handed people buying the new left-hand Rolex GMT, too.

So just get what works for you. And if it's not quite there, get a strap that helps solve the issue.

I'm left handed as well , it's actually 10 percent.

Anyways have you thought about using a nato strap so it would be a little higher up and give you a little bit extra clearance ?
