Biblical rain in SoCal... so took a minute to clean DW5600

This watch is my designated Mountain biking watch, and as such it is somewhat scratched (see photos) and perpetually dusty.. It has been dumping rain for 2days here in SoCal, which sucks because there is nothing to do really here when it does rain.. and also conditions are a bit dangerous in some areas near here.. (we are fine).

Took a few minutes to clean this g-shock up a bit, this is about as clean as it has been in years..

I have been debating swapping the crystal out anyone know any good source of replacement crystals for this watch in the USA? I found this one from a different DW5600 in the UK been debating ordering it and putting it in this watch? but it would be 1/2 the cost of a new DW5600~ even if I do the install myself, cost prohibitive if I paid someone to do it.

In last photo you see this watch in it's natural environment.

Casios are great for mountain biking 👍I’ve got the solar version of yours, a GBA800 and a Protek. All made for punishment.

I saw that about the rain. We call that Monday where I live. LOL I saw they closed schools. I guess the song is accurate, It never really rains in Southern California. Great G!!

Well, The problem isn't the rain exactly (although there is a lot of it like 9" in 72hrs... which to be fair I think would mess things up most places?).

the main problems are Flash Flooding / standing water collecting in feet of water on low sections of roadways... Landslides... every time it rains anything like this here, there are huge landslide risks...

Yes. The landslides are dangerous
