G-Shocking Love

About 10 years ago my dad gave me this G-Shock 3230. Ok, ok... I may have stole it from him. It looked much better on me and it was just sitting in a box at his house. Fortunately, he never pressed charges.

When the battery finally died about  three years ago I tried to change the battery myself, but failed miserably. Long story short it's now broken. So I purchased this GA-800 and it has been my favorite workout watch ever since!

Fast forward A couple years ago when I picked my first G-Shock Square, the $40 DW5600-1V which I did not realize at the time was the jump off point for the rabbit hole I was about to fall into.

That one Square quickly grew to this:

I thought that my G-Shock journey was over when the frick'ng CasiOak was introduced and I just had to grab a couple!

Anyway, that's my G-Shock collection so far. What do you have??

My current one, which may be on the block soon, is the classic "G" backlight DW6600

Previously I owned/enjoyed these ....

I’m only laughing because this is so relatable. It started with the 5600 for me, and before I knew it… I’ve got like four in the span of a few months!

The 5600 is a narcotic. All it takes is one taste and you're an addict.🥺

Have bought a G for my son and killed it trying to do a battery change. Bought him the same model to replace. Have a Casio ten year battery model as a beater. When the battery goes, if I am still above the dirt, will maybe get a G for myself.
