Droplets Stain

Hi Everyone !

Have you ever experienced something like this? I was wearing my GShock when I sprayed perfume, and didn't realize that the droplets fell on my watch and made marks that are hard to remove, I've tried washing it with soap and it still doesn't disappear, can I ask for advice from you guys?

Thank You

I know DEET bug spray can do this to the resin. I guess add cologne to the list, as well.

Maybe due to alcohol in the perfume? 🤔

I think so, but unfortunately it wouldn't come off after i washed it with soap.

Try going over it with a lighter. Maybe a bit of heat would help? Be careful though.

This may be more chemical reaction than a deposit. Short of abrasives, the best you can do it even it out.

Try some quick wiping with fairly diluted rubbing (aka ispropyl) alcohol on a lightly damp cloth or paper towel. Wipe dry quickly.

This happens in chemistry labs. I’ve not seen it go away once it is there.

Not personally, but I've seen other people ask about it on some of the Casio forums. Unfortunately, I've never seen a solution. Some might suggest that you spray the chemical (cologne in your case) on a cloth and try to apply it evenly to the entire bezel, but that's kind of a "do it at your own risk" situation. If it bothers you so much that you're planning to change the bezel, then it's worth a shot first.

I've tried with alcohol, it seems the stains are a little more even, but at some points it doesn't work well, I'm afraid it will damage the resin if I do it continuously.

I also read on some forums, bug sprays can also damage the resin, it looks like this stain won't disappear, fortunately the bezel is sold at an affordable price
