My father and grandfather taught me early on the importance of having a good watch. My first watch was a Lorus at 6 and my first real watch was a Swatch Irony chrono which still works.

That’s the ticket! These things are quite indestructible. Have had mine since 2006; it’s been subjected to quite harsh treatment, but still ticking away merrily 👍🏻

For the sheen I guess is one of those aluminum models they made last century (admit, "made last century" makes it feel classy vintage wright ;-))
No idea why they don't make them anymore (not because aluminum is more delicate, they make plastic watches since the brand's conception)
