NATO is definitely a tricky one but not impossible. Maybe someone here has a connection to a watch strap company who we could collaborate on designing a band?
I've posted a few #WRUW with the Heir under my watches, check it out! It's only 3mm and the feedback we're getting is that it blends right in and people forget they're wearing it
Good points. We definitely thought of the caseback issue. You have to take your watch off to show the display caseback and our product pops right off when you want it to in the same motion so we think you'll still be able to show it off without any issues.
As far as the height is concerned, our device is 3mm so it's fairly unnoticeable until you start getting into the extremely slim cases.
It was a novel idea to me when I first started working on this but clearly there have been previous attempts at solving the same problem. Most of them from a decade ago. My take on that is that the timing wasn't right. In 2014/2015, smartwatches/activity trackers were just catching on and people were still curious about their potential.
Now, after a decade of wearables throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks, I think we're convinced that it's useful to have some of our data but maybe we don't need another screen fighting for our attention and sending more distractions.
We're hoping to find that balance of honoring traditional watches while adding just enough of the tech.
