Initial watches in the collection

I'm getting into better & more appreciated timepieces
Below are the watches I plan to buy as my first
1. Orient Bambino (Please suggestion which version to buy 2 or 3)

2. Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

3. Seagull 1963

4. Seiko Alpinist (Any ref model # )

5. Tissot PRX  (Quartz or Automatic) as I already have a Tissot Automatic

Please give me suggestions if these are good or I could look for other options.

That is certainly a list of well known and well regarded watches within the watch community, however, are they what YOU like? I know this point gets done to death, but you really need to think about your own personal preferences and what you find appealling in a watch.

If you have compiled this as a list of time pieces you have carefully chosen because they spark joy for you and you are excited to wear them for you, then absolutely that's a great list. The tone of your post seems to suggest that you more want to make sure these watches are considered 'good' by the community, not for yourself.

Maybe I have it all wrong, in which case tell me to bugger off. Everyone else does.

I would say buy one, learn what you like and don't like, then very slowly add more. You'll learn things like what sizing really works, what materials you like, etc..

For example I now mostly look for watches that have quartz (tougher), titanium (lighter), a flat black panel (I find the raised ones uncomfortable), with standard lugs for straps, and with the digital timers and alarms that I find really useful.. etc.

I would also consider going leather free because it's a really nasty industry. much of it is mislabeled cats and dogs from China which is the world's biggest exporter of leather. That and many other issues.

Here are some ones I like:

You can see I'm mostly looking for tough tool watches. That's just what I like personally.

Also I'd consider a minimalist collection rather than a huge one. You'll wear them more plus you won't waste a ton of money. And you'll focus on watches you really like rather than just buy anything that looks good.

That’s a nice list. I’ve got a Hamilton Khaki  Automatic and one thing to think about is the lug to lug. Mine’s a 42mm diameter but the lug to lug is 52. I’ve got the titanium version so that’s not too much of an issue as it’s so light but I’d keep that in mind and try it on before you decide to go with that one as @Deeperblue says you’ve got to make sure you like it.
Either way it’s a nice list. Good luck.
