Watches I Regret Selling: Seiko SKX013

There was a time in my not-so-distant past where I told myself I'd stick to a "Four Watch Rule." If a new watch came in, one had to go.

This rule did not last long (see my recent "State of the Collection"), but my lovely Seiko SKX013 was lost to it. First automatic watch I ever owned, always felt awesome on my wrist. The watch that arrived in its place was my SARB033, which I absolutely adore, but still...

Aww man - I definitely appreciate the original sentiment and self-control you had set in place. I myself had tried to put “rails” on my collecting… but 6 turned 9, turned to 12… you get it. 😂

Honestly what continued to break me was I couldn’t part with my own SKX013. Even though I have far superior watches from a technical perspective, there is just something special about how-ho-hum it is. And yes, how great it wears on the wrist!

That is a nice foundation for a watch collection! Regrets are that regrets but times change and different times mean different things in our lives when it comes to watches and other things I suppose.

Classic !! Very nice watch !! I like more on the oyster bracelet. The blue colour does not match the dial. I would try it with a black or orange strap. The best would be a black strap with orange lines 😜

It's not really a watch you can go wrong with if you ask me, you'll find another no doubt maybe even the Pepsi version for a change.
