Grand Seiko White Birch SLGH005 Movement Issue

Hi All,

I just bought a hardly worn White Birch only to find out that its time keeping is messed up. Gaining +3s in 2hrs!! I put it on my phone timegrapher and it is all over the place.
It’s almost 2 yrs since its release so I’m sure there is alot of experience out there.
Anyone else having same issue as me? Pls share your experience

I’m so reluctant to send it to Japan

Magnetized? There are cheap degaussers online.

The thread of the topic recently.

I don’t think your phone timegrapher will work with this dual impulse escapement.  These movementally do have a tendency to run quite fast though, it’s a shame really.

Thanks all for your comments. After 1 day I observe +19s/d. I must say I’m thoroughly disappointed. My Seiko 5 runs better than this.
I’m picky on the accuracy of my watches. This is a $9k watch I expect it to be at least within the specification. Sigh

I think I have to hand it in to Grand Seiko through our AD here

How did that ever turn out?
