Inspired by Oliver's @TheSharperTheBetter posting yesterday, I'm wearing my 1940s Bifora Tank style. The 22mm case, 16mm strap is a great detox to contemporary tastes for bigger is better.
The sun is out again, and I feel it's going to be a good day 🤓

Still in the shopping trolley 🤓
Oh, this is absolutely lovely! Glad I could help remind you of it. Any story for this sweet pick up?
1940’s?? How in the world?! Absolute stunner

Thank you. Not much of a story except I can't believe no one else bid on it and I picked it up for a meagre (IMO) £45. especially as it keeps time to within a minute a day.

Going by the conversation with the @WabiSabiMaster this morning, it is entirely possible that I inadvertently slipped back through time to 1940s Germany to pick it up 😉
Wow John! It is a beauty!! That dial is fabulous. Great photos as usual.

I really like the sunset reflection on this photo John, get capture! A watch so beautiful it’s stops time.😉
Have a great day.
Thanks a lot, Rusty.
"The watch that stops time".. I like it 👍🏻
I love the color of that strap John. It matches so well with that vintage beauty 👌🎯
Thanks a lot, Tony 🤓

After reading @WabiSabiMaster’s interpretation, I thought I should offer mine.
The first shot looks like burnt wood and our hero (Bifora) has single handedly put out the flames but at a great cost - almost its life. Exhausted and close to dying, Bifora then sees that there’s a greater fire ahead, but rather look in despair, it looks with delight. In the final picture, our hero, tragically has fallen and died but with honour.

You're a master storyteller as well as a master photographer, Trevor. But I'm saddened that our hero has died (with honour or otherwise). It just doesn't end that way in the movies 😢
