Yep I've seen this exact watch, the one with yellow seconds sand GMT hands. It looks great!

Yema. Not a straightforward answer I'm afraid.

The first one I got was a limited edition Superman Bronze GMT with a stunning blue dial in 41mm which I purchased from the original owner on C24:

Solid build, awesome looks, but the movement (YEMA3000) started to run erratically after about a year. I sent it back to France under warranty and a third-party service center swapped the movement for a new one. When I got it back, if was functioning fine but the crown stem had probably been cut a hair too long and it wouldn't 'pop' back in place after pulling it for setting the time, which was annoying. It was also a bit top-heavy on the wrist so I finally sold it. I almost re-bought it recently in the 39mm size 🙄

My second Yema was the steel Superman Heritage 39mm.

Very wearable, versatile little watch. The Sellita SW200 inside was well within COSC. I wasn't a fan of the bracelet which was a bit too thin and flimsy. I was mildly bothered by how the bracelet and the end-links were articulated. it lacked visual continuity. The case and end-link was thicker than the bracelet links and the angle between the end-link and the first bracelet link wasn't smooth, if that makes sense. I also sold it recently. Nothing wrong with it, but I downsized the collection from 12 to 5 and it didn't make the cut.

The one that it still here (this post) is the same as the steel version in size and design except: bronze case (obviously), applied markers on the dial which look way better than the printed version of the previous one, and a YEMA2000 movement inside. The movement runs very well and is quite accurate too. However, the date sometimes gets stuck between 2 positions. There must be a spot where the cogs don't engage properly after setting the time and date. When it happens, I just adjust the date manually and it fixes it.

I think the brand is making huge investments and efforts to create and build new in-house movements and designs, which is very nice to see and deserves respect. I might decide to go for one of their newer models in a couple of years, but for now I am content with this bronze watch.

And I kinda want to always have a Yema in the collection since it's a respected heritage brand from my home country.

Yeah, this unfortunately is par for the course with Yema, I think the French take too many cigarettes breaks and forget what they were doing. JK.

I love Yema, and yes you answered the question nicely. I haven't done a Yema owner that hasn't had quality control issues but, hey that's part of being a watch collector. We can't get too upset and is part of the journey and goes along way too developing a sense of what to expect and what to know is wrong with any watch. I mean, it's still not great that you had to go through that. But I really do think we should support this company through the thick and thin. They brought an amazing band back to life and are making on house movements.

That deserves some interest from the community. And yeah I can imagine the applied markers go along way in liking one over the other.
