A collection favorite today. Patek’s 10day power reserve in a gondola case 3-hander or Tourbillon had been released before. When this one came out some of us wondered why it was 8 days. After acquiring it I discovered the PR was consistently 9.5 hrs - clearly affected by the additional module for the day and date (the Tourbillon has two mainspring barrels). Did PP call it a 8day PR instead of 9 to make it more distant & separate as a ‘different’ complication? Probably. More importantly I take my hat off to them for owning up to the lack of 10 days PR (some watch brands would and have not done the same)
