I liked the Trafford. Being from my home state of Texas and all. I didn't vote for them though. They seem to be a little pricey for what you are getting. I like the Miyota movement. I have that movement in a few other watches. They aren't noisy at all. If I remember correctly, Trafford says that it's noisy. I don't understand why. I think applied indices would be better and money worthy looking. I mean it's a nice looking watch. Its not $500 nice in my opinion. I will probably end up with one in the future. I won't be buying it new though.
I used to have one of these, but sold it due to guilt at the size of the collection! Somewhere in East London there is now the same Trafford Crossroads Mockingbird.
FWIW - I thought the rotor was quite noisy, but certainly looked great in red through the large open caseback.
I thought of it very much as a relaxed pub/bar watch for the evening. Without a date window, I couldn’t wear it as a daily; and yet I don’t think it’s dressy enough, and it’s too big, for a proper “going out” watch.
It seemed reasonably priced to me - just not so much once I’d paid the tax and customs.
SU is one of favorites. Same for Baltic, Zelos and Nodus. They will crash competition easily and Baltic will win this year (sorry for spoiler).
