A mechanical watch is actually the most outdated technology we still “use”. Smart watches en digital watches are better at the task they are designed for: Telling time.
But the heartbeat of an movement will always be better in my opinion.

I do own a Timex Atlantis reissue however ... it functions as a "Beater" when doing chores and as a (very) lightweight watch that I wear when I play guitar
