Lorier Hyperion GMT gilt

Just a picture of the Lorier Hyperion GMT gilt version. The size is just perfect as is the overall wearability. The bracelet is great and i like how it plays with the light. Long story short, a great watch with an original vintage design and a great movement.

I wouldn‘t call the design super original but it‘s a beauty none the less! Enjoy ;)

Thanks Elia 😎

I have the same. It's a lovely watch, and very functional. The recently came out (or are about to come out) with a v. 2 with a different bracelet and 2mm shorter lugs. I tried one on at the Windup Watch Fair, and the difference in lugs is small, but noticeable. And it only comes in gilt.

Hi Wilfried, nice picture, the colours realy come alive in the sun 😎 For me it is one of my most comfortable watches because it is very thin as well. I have seen the v2 only in pictures. Did you like the case and bracelet design better of the v2? I realy like the way this bracelet is reflecting the light. But the bracelet on the v2 has a different charm which i also like. It would be great if the new bracelet would fit on the v1.

The difference is subtle, but the shorter lugs are definitely better, fits better and looks better proportioned. I don't have a strong impression of the bracelet. I could go with either, though I like the angular look of the v. 1 bracelet. Alas, the v2. doesn't fit on the v. 1, they said so. The endlinks are different because of the lugs.

What I like about this Lorier is the size. Too many GMT watches are 40+ or even 42mm and above. The Hyperion is compact and thin. It's also legible and not a 1:1 copy of an existing design despite having a cliché Pepsi bezel.

·

Looks great! What do you mean by Gilt Version did v1 come in two versions? It seems like the only version for V2 is gilt or am I missing something?

·

Thanks Hudson 😎 The V1 version came out in a version with silver hands and white accents and in a version with gilt hands and accents. The V2 is gilt or a complete white dail if i'm not mistaken. Please see the pictures below of both V1 version for reference. Cheers!

Extremely interested in a v3 with the new miyota 9075 flyer gmt.

Also, I have questions about the lume. How long does the lume last? Does it last all night? Is it balanced between hands, markers, and bezel? Can it be read in mixed lighting conditions like the cinema?

Hi Oneski, the lume has two colours. Differentiating the luminous pigments between one timezone, which uses BGW9 (dial, hour, minute, seconds hands) and the other, which uses C3 (24-hour bezel, GMT hand). The C3 on the GMT hand is realy bright and last long but the C3 on the bezel also is bright but it doesn't last as long as the other applications. The BGW9 on the dail is very good. It charges fast and shines bright and it holds up quite long, especialy considering the fact that this isn't a dive watch. It also looks the part with the two different colours. Hopefully this would help you in your decission. Cheers!

Extremely interested in a v3 with the new miyota 9075 flyer gmt.

Lorier stated that with the new Miyota movement the thickness will increase by 2mm. If you pre-order the first Hyperion II it will have the Soprod movement with a 2mm thinner case. For me this was an important feature.

See there statement below:

We are proud to formally introduce the Hyperion Series II. Yes, it's finally here!

With a new colorway, too—the Skyward Special Edition. Your requests for a white Hyperion have been answered!

Available Saturday, February 11, at 11 AM ET (UTC-5). Orders will ship the following week.

**This will be the only production run of Hyperion Series II to feature the Soprod C125 GMT movement. This summer, we will be transitioning to the new Miyota 9075, consistent with the rest of our collection. Though pricing is not finalized yet, the 9075 should make the Hyperion more affordable. But because it's a thicker movement, the future Hyperion will be about 2mm thicker (it will wear similarly to the Neptune). The design will be the same, so if the thinness of the Hyperion is a major draw for you, now is your chance!

Thank you very much Watching, these answered alot of my questions. To me 2mm more thickness and wearing like the neptune is perfectly acceptable and possibly even preferable as I always worried that being so thin with a large crown that it would irritate the back of my hand. For me the sweet jumping hour hand is far more important and if it comes in at a better price point then they just may have gotten a sale before they've made any lol. I really just hope that the lume quality is something that can last through the night especially with the tiny hour hand lume plot.

Cheers

I've only just caught wind of this vintage looking Hyperion. When you mention the jumping hour hand, do you mean the miyota movement will have an easy to set GMT hand that jumps every hour with a pusher?

No. By jumping hour hand I am referring to the main 12hr hour hand not the GMT hand. The new miyota 9075 is a flyer/traveler/true gmt in te same vein as a Rolex GMT Master 2. With this style of complication, where the 24 hour hand is slaved to the minute hand and the 12 hour hand can be bi-directionally moved independently in one hour increments, it allows for an elegant and user friendly way to quickly set the local time in a new timezone when traveling while not having to take the time to reset the entire watch. It is very convenient for someone constantly on the go and probably my most sought after complication because of that.

Hope that helps 😊

·

Thanks. Always get confused by the GMT types even though I read the explanation multiple times!
