It's finally arrived, and sized up! I had picked out some gorgeous blue, textured dial watches for our 5-year anniversary, but they took an age to arrive! Finally got them in, and engraved our wedding date on the inside of the clasp.
For myself I had picked out the 40mm AD2118, and for my wife the 36mm AD2030.
With the engraving on the clasp, it means that that date is now the first thing we see when putting the watch on in the morning. โค๏ธ
The watch wears incredibly comfortable, and it's my first experience with anything of a slightly higher calibre than a Casio or my hand wound Vostok. In fact, it's my first automatic watch! The end links are solid, and the bracelet is very nice.
Not experienced enough to comment on finishing, but to me the steel looks lightly brushed or polished in the right areas. Nothing incredibly erroneous stands out. The only, minor, comment I'd make is that the lug ends actually protrude farther out than the end links by approx. 2 or 3mm. Now I've seen that, I can't unsee it! ๐ But it's no biggie, it doesn't affect wearability, or the appeal to me (especially at this price)!
Definitely loving this piece! And it's made all the more special knowing my wife loves her one as well! ๐

Looks good, probably has the ubiquitous Seiko NH 35 movement. ๐

Yes sir it does! Very happy with a workhorse movement for my first auto. I only have one other watch on my wishlist that has the nh35. My thoughts are, at this price point I'm not buying it for the movement (although I do want some quality there), but more the dial and general aesthetics. Some of the more higher end watches I'd definitely be pickier about movement and the internal quality as well as aesthetics. ๐

In my San Martin with an Nh35, it is within 5 seconds a day.

Brilliant! I've yet to get this one timed, but so far it's been spot on (just eyeballing it)
I've got the sand AD2030 and I love the size and style. It fits beautifully. My only gripe is the legibility as the silver hands are lost on the dial. They should make a more standard version with the best legibility.

That's exactly why I went this this colourway! Legibility became a problem with the other colours. Not enough contrast. But otherwise still a gorgeous looking watch! ๐
Lovely looking watch. Well done ๐

Quite stoked with it! And the auto has quite some heft to it! I was surprised! ๐
Addiesdive are good watches value for money. You can't beat the quality, design and construction for that price point. Great touch with the engraving date. Wear it with health and pleasure. Stay Thirsty My Man ๐ป๐๐ฝ

Yea mate, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, being a 'Chinese, Alixpress type' watch. But it's genuinely been a pleasure the last 8 hours ๐ let's see how it holds up for the next few weeks! But definitely has made me more comfortable about looking at some of the other brands like Cadisen, Steeldive, San Martin, etc.

Addiesdive is just Steeldive with slightly better finish.

I've been buying AliExpress Chinese Specials for almost 4 years now. The first being a Cadisen C1032 homage watch to a Citizen. None of these Chinese Specials have let me down. However, I don't buy anything more then $120 CDN and it's built well and maintained it's quality and mechanics. Cheers mate ๐ป
I am currently walking my 5mo daughter with this exact same watch! Itโs a stunner, incredibly comfortable to wear and just a beauty! Enjoy your pieces with health!
Same to you! And your little one! โค๏ธ
