ROAMER 636 5104 Vintage

Here I have my Roamer 636 5014 from the '80s. The design of the watch strongly reminds us of the well-known Rolex Datejust.

The silvery grey dial has a beautiful Sunburst structure and the hour markers are overlaid. These hour markers are gold coloured, just like the hands and crown. The Fluted bezel and fully steel Jubilee strap complete the picture.

With a diameter of 36 mm and a Lug to Lug size of 18 mm it is a pretty small watch for men but if you have a smaller whilst like I have, I think it looks very elegant.

As I found out, it was made between 1980 - 1989. I didn't fond out what the exact year was, maybe you could help me there.

Roamer is a renowned Swiss watch brand with a rich history, comparable in terms of quality to brands like Omega, Zenith and Certina.

What do you guys think?

I've seen a few nice old Roamer watches while perusing ebay. Other than that, I don't know much about them. They seem to be very reasonably priced compared to the more obvious brands. Looks like you have a very nice piece there.

The use of the 2846 in this watch is interesting -- one of ETA's early attempts to reduce the cost of the 2824-2 for watch brands.
