In 1956, Heinz and Anna Gall purchased a license from Norbert Burns to produce the same very accurate watches that he had been producing in Le Bois since 1898. The Galls named their company Golana, in Bienne and continued to build high quality precise watches which became quite popular in Europe.
In April 1984, Golana fell into the hands of Belgian Unitask NV from Antwerp. They have continued putting out watches until 2010 as far as I can tell. The Golana.ch website is no longer operational but many of their fine pre-owned watches are still for sale on popular sites.

Put this in the one that got away category. I really wanted it and it was not expensive. However, the seller said one movement was slow and the other was fast. So, that was twice the service. This is a dual mechanical movement dual timer and I regret not buying it every time that I see a Golana.
