Looking for opinions on next timepiece purchase

At this point I think I’ve settled on the 37mm Longines Spirit Black on bracelet but wanted to get the community’s thoughts on other options for an everyday watch. Originally I was after a 39mm Pelagos but can’t pull the trigger at that price level. So now I’m in the 2500k range. Let me know what you think.

Also, does anyone have the 37mm LonginesSpirit? Will it be good on a 7” wrist?

TIA

The other thought I had on the high end is a Tudor Ranger but it just isn’t as versatile as the Longines Spirit IMO

Both great watches. I think the Tudor Ranger is one of the most versatile watches in terms styling. It’s so simplistic it would go with any outfit smart, casual even sporty.
You’ll have a solid watch whichever you choose.

Longines can't compete with a frog playing a banjo. The Roman numerals make this more of a dress watch, however.

Thanks?

Exactly the kind of advice that I am known for.

Oris Big Crown Pointer Date is the other field watch I think of at that price point.

Several microbrands have cool offerings in the 1-2K range…Farer, Monta, Traska, and Formex off the top of my head.

The Spirit is great though. A 40mm Spirit MIGHT be more appropriate for a 7” wrist?  I wear the Spirit Zulu Time on a leather strap and it’s a great fit, although I believe the lugs on the regular spirit are longer, and the center links on the bracelet add to that.

Not a fan of any of the black bays then? Only a minor break in price to the Pelagos but obviosly closer to that style than the Longines.
Longines spirit is solid and can’t go wrong, but would also lean towards 41mm size than 37mm myself (also 7” wrist and 39 about as low as I could see going)

I’m back and forth on the black bays. The standard versions just feel like they are missing something to me. That aluminum piece the crown screws into bothers me as well. im not a fan of the bb 58 colors. The blue is the one I’ve given the most thought too but I’m wanting a black dial (already have a Tissot gentleman). not a fan of the bob 58 black/gold. The silver one is pretty good looking though!
